Sanitation Associate - FT

Description:

Reports to: Volunteer & Facilities Manager

Salary Range: $10.00 – $10.50 hourly

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the UP Orlando facility as per company standards, working through a regular checklist of sanitation needs as well as responding to spills, etc. as they occur.

Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 12:30pm-9:00pm, Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Clean and supply designated building areas daily (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Perform non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
  • Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Comply with Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulations for cleanliness and upkeep of the Member Share Grocery Program

 

Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years of janitorial experience
  • Custodial training or vocational certification preferred
  • Ability to take direction from multiple staff members
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends on a regular schedule

Cashier - Full Time

Description:

Salary Range: $9.75/hr, plus benefits

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. A cashier is the last point of sale so the cashier should be able to leave a lasting impression on the members to want to come back.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers entering the Member Share Grocery Program.
  • Process all sale transactions by receiving payment by cash, check, credit cards, or vouchers.
  • Answer customer questions and provide information on procedures and/or policies.
  • Compute and record totals of transactions.
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
  • Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items.
  • Other duties as assign

Qualifications:

  • Three years of cash handling experience
  • One year of customer service
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift 25lbs or more

Ability to:

  • Process all sales and return transactions in a professional and positive manner.
  • Do repetitious work accurately.
  • Deal tactfully and pleasantly with members.
  • Work varied hours/days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
