Cost of Poverty Expierence

The Cost of Poverty Experience is a simulation that offers participants a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our community.

COPE portrays real stories of families impacted by poverty that go beyond the stereotype of what is seen on the news or written about in the paper. Also captured in the experience is the role that the broader community plays in their interactions with under-resourced families.

UP Orlando is pleased to be offering this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of poverty. There will be a limit of 60 participants for this experience, and lunch will be served at the end.

We invite you to learn more about COPE by watching this short video: https://vimeo.com/35406817.

The Cost of Poverty Experience (C.O.P.E) program is being offered to us due to the effort of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Orlando and was created by Think Tank, Inc.
