UP GROCERY ANNOUNCES ADJUSTMENT OF HOURS RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS

Effective March 19, Member Share Grocery Program hours at our three UP Centers located in Orlando, Indian River County and St. Lucie County will transition to be Monday - Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., with our Orlando and St. Lucie County locations also operating Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. To streamline our operations to focus on the increased need at our main Indian River UP Center, our satellite grocery program located in South Vero Beach will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

As we continue to focus on serving the community during this increased time of need, our programs remain available to low-income families.

In stressful situations, many of our neighbors turn to United Against Poverty for information, direction and reassurance. Now more than ever, we are deeply grateful for your support.

Highlighted Partner: Spraker Wealth Management

Susan Spraker, President of Spraker Wealth Management, first learned of our agency after reading an article in the Orlando Sentinel. She quickly became engaged with the mission of United Against Poverty as a founding member of our Board of Directors. And thus began a ten year partnership during which Susan and her team have tirelessly dedicated their time, talent and treasure to helping working poor families and dignity and hope.

Spraker Wealth Management provides holistic financial planning and wealth management for families, individuals and foundations. Over the years, Susan and her team have spent hundreds of hours stocking the shelves in our Member Share Grocery Program and hosting annual holiday food drives to support our Emergency Pantry. They have stepped up to replace our air conditioning unit in our Life Enrichment Center to ensure families feel comfortable and welcome. Spraker Wealth Management’s Chief Operating and Compliance Officer, John West, has dutifully served as Treasurer on our Board for many years. Most recently, the company has underwritten the cost of lunch at our largest annual event. Now, Susan and her team are launching our first formal Dress for Success program!

You can help support this initiative and provide much-needed business attire for our STEP graduates by donating gently used suits, dresses, belts and shoes at their company location in Maitland or at our UP Center located just south of downtown. Thank you, Spraker Wealth Management, for doing whatever it takes to lift families in need.
