With community involvement as one of the company’s core values, Truelieve has worked
throughout the state and other parts of the country to ensure that marginalized communities
are receiving the hand up they need to reach economic self-sufficiency. The company’s drive to
help others lead to a perfect partnership with our Orlando campus.
During a recent visit the Trulieve team recognized that many of the machines in our computer
lab were outdated, so they pulled together and donated thirty refurbished computers! These
new PC’s are utilized many times throughout the day as individuals in our Life Enrichment
Center log on to apply for and monitor government assistance including unemployment and
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. With increased functionality, these
machines have allowed visitors to access the services they need much more quickly and
efficiently. The UP Programs staff was also able to identify 11 participants that could utilize these
computers on loan at home to participate in remote learning as part of our Success Training
Employment Program (STEP). The computers are helping to facilitate daily learning in the areas
of emotional intelligence, job acquisition and workforce development.
In addition to this generous computer donation, Truelieve also joined our STEP Employer Partner Network where they will
hire and train STEP graduates regardless of any prior barriers to employment. We are so thankful for their desire to help
connect and empower those working hard to reach their full potential!
