Dan Pugh is a Senior Partner at Residential Building Supply, a medium-size building supply company specializing in providing high-end millwork to the residential home building community. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from
Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida. Dan is always interested in volunteering his time to worthwhile non-profit endeavors, and United Against Poverty has provided an excellent opportunity to give back to a community that has been his home for life.
When not working, Dan is an avid golfer who enjoys spending time with family and friends on the golf course.

Renee DeRouin-Jessen

Renée DeRouin-Jessen is passionate about creating better work environments for employees and improving the lives of those in the Central Florida community. She is a proud member of the Community Advisory Board for United Against Poverty Orlando (UP Orlando) and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Greater Orlando Organization Development (GOOD) Network. Additionally, with 14+ years of consulting experience at both global and U.S.-based organizations, Renée serves as a senior strategist and advisor to organizations on leadership, talent, and organizational development.
Renée has a B.A. in Psychology from Flagler College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She has written book chapters and articles for peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and Human Resource Management and has received awards for her research from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
Alicia Bechtel
Orlando Health
Alicia Bechtel serves as a Patient Care Administrator for Orlando Health where she is responsible for the daily operations of the cardiology service line. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of St. Francis and she holds a specialty certification as a Certified Nurse Manager and Leader. Alicia counts travel as the favorite of her many hobbies and interests.

Hollie Croft

Hollie A. Croft is a partner at the Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP Orlando, Florida office. Hollie earned her JD with honors at University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004 and her legal work has been recognized as AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Hollie’s hobbies include spending quality time with her two daughters.
Chief Eric D. Smith

Eric Smith serves as a Deputy Chief with the Orlando Police Department where he oversees all Patrol and Special Teams operations. He holds a MBA from the University of Oklahoma and a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Eric believes in helping others especially our most at risk residents of the City Beautiful. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves working out as a great stress reliever.

Jennifer Englert Schmitt

Known for a caring heart, as well as a drive to make a difference, Jennifer Englert is the driving force behind The Orlando Law Group as it enters its second decade serving the Central Florida community.
Englert is the managing partner and founder of OLG. For over 22 years, she has focused on business disputes, business law, general civil litigation, special needs & education law, family law, personal injury, and real estate. She has represented entities and individuals in both federal and state trial and appellate courts.
Under her direction, The Orlando Law Group has been named one of the fastest-growing law firms in Central Florida and throughout America [ranked No. 105 among the top 500 fastest-growing law firms in the United States, per the 2017 Law Firm 500]. Since 2009 when she started in her living room, she has built the firm to four offices and 25 employees and has added a Mediation firm, Title business and Commercial real estate brokerage to her family of companies.
Giving back to the community is a staple of Englert’s. She donates time and resources to numerous non-profit organizations throughout Central Florida, and is a member of the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors [2018-2019]. She was also named Child & Family Lawyer of the Year [2017] by Finance Monthly.
She earned her JD from the University of Florida, and her bachelor’s in political science from Stetson University. She began her legal career in a large firm representing companies like Exxon, Disney, Darden, Sea World and Orlando Health. She resides with her family in Waterford Lakes.
Edward DeAguilera

Edward DeAguilera serves as the Director of Business Development and Fundraising for the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association.
Edward has more than 20 years of experience as a non-profit professional and brings a unique blend of expertise .Previously he served as the Executive Director at the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida where he was responsible for overseeing the annual strategic planning/investment. In addition, DeAguilera managed, grants, marketing, communications, volunteer engagement and public policy strategy.
Edward was born and raised in Orlando, FL and previously served as a Director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando for nearly 6 years. He was also a Commissioner in Orange County, FL’s Charter Review Commission, that controlled and directed and initiatives for the local government charter (local constitution). He has been very active in his community serving in various Board of Directors including Orlando Health Foundation, US Census, Heart of Florida United Way, BusinessForce and the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce among others.
He is a graduate of Columbia College and of the University of Central Florida and received a degree in Political Science. Edward was born and raised in Orange County with his wife Freda and 2 children, Delaney and Edward.

John Dowless is the President of Millennium Consulting, Inc., and Mayor of the City of Edgewood. Before being elected Mayor, his public service has included Edgewood City Council, MetroPlan Orlando (transportation authority) board member and Municipal Advisory Committee Chair, Tri-County League of Cities, Orange County MMRB and LYNX Citizen Advisory Council. John graduated from Auburn University, and serves or has served on several charitable boards, including United Against Poverty, House the Hope for troubled teens, and Christian HELP (employment and homelessness).

Lucas also contributes to and participates in the strategic planning process to establish the future direction and long-term goals of Orange County
Erik Weiner
President, City National Bank
Erik M. Weiner is an experienced veteran in Central Florida banking with over two decades of leading teams, growing markets, and supporting businesses in the community. In his role as Central Florida Market President for City National Bank, Erik has P&L responsibility for the Orlando, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville markets, with primary objectives of growing the Bank and building/protecting the CNB brand. He is responsible for multiple lines of business including Corporate Banking, Real Estate Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking, and Retail. Prior to joining CNB, Erik served as Corporate Banking Executive for BankUnited in Central Florida. He also has worked in various leadership and relationship management positions for Fifth Third Bank, Regions Bank, SouthTrust Bank (now Wells Fargo), and Barnett Bank (now Bank of America) with a strong emphasis on commercial and corporate banking. Active in the community, Weiner has served on multiple board of directors, currently serving on the board for Junior Achievement of Central Florida and Boy scouts of Central Florida. Additionally, Erik is a graduate of Leadership Orlando, class of 55. A resident of Winter Park, he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialty in finance from the University of Central Florida
