The Mobile Prosperity Project

In 2024, United Against Poverty launched the Mobile Prosperity Project to take our mission on the road—literally. What began as a small pilot program has grown into a powerful outreach effort, bringing fresh groceries and critical support services directly to neighborhoods across Central Florida.

Our goal is simple: meet people where they are—especially in USDA-designated food deserts where access to healthy food is limited, and transportation can be a barrier.

Through our mobile market, we provide nutritious bags of fresh groceries for a small handling fee—offering a dignified, empowering alternative to traditional food handouts. It’s all part of our “hand up, not hand out” philosophy.

But it goes beyond food. Our Crisis Navigators are on-site, ready to connect individuals with resources like housing assistance, health services, job support, and so much more—helping families tackle the bigger picture of stability and well-being.

Thanks to a generous grant from Florida Blue, we were able to purchase two 26-foot refrigerated trucks and expand our mobile market operations.

To receive groceries at our mobile market events, households must fall at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Review the chart below to see if your household qualifies.

  • 48 Contiguous States (all states except Alaska and Hawaii)
    Household Size Annual Household Income At/Below
    1 $31,920
    2 $43,280
    3 $54,640
    4 $66,000

    For families/households with more than 4 persons, add $11,360 for each additional person.

Volunteer at a Mobile Market Event

We are looking for energetic, compassionate volunteers to help make each event run smoothly.

  • Assist families with check-in and registration
  • Distribute bags of groceries
